Two UFC women’s bantamweight title hopefuls will meet in March at UFC 196.

Officials today announced Amanda Nunes (11-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and Valentina Shevchenko (12-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) are slated to fight at the event.

Nunes, a former Invicta FC and Strikeforce fighter, is 4-1 since joining the UFC. The 27-year-old Brazilian’s lone trip-up during her UFC run came to Cat Zingano, but she’s since rebounded with back-to-back stoppage wins over vets Shayna Baszler and Sara McMann.

have you ever seen one of Valentina's muay thai fights? people hearing she's a 17x world champ might get the impression that she's this polished striker but she really just clinch and ragdoll girls like they're her little sister.

mma is different but if her muay thai career indicates anything, Valentina will be hard to takedown in the clinch.

I think I saw the fight. It was sort notice right? She didn't look great, a little slow/plodding she won. I'm surprised she has wins over JJ.. but can see there's a noticeable size difference. We're the fights close?
