Wonder what he would have done differently. Maybe called a foul?

Big John rarely misses nutshots from what I recall, especially from where the ref was standing in this case.

Even with Ken's delayed reaction he would have been on top of it.

I bet he saw the nutshot when it happened.

The real problem I have is when you feel you knee cram into someone's cup( I bet it feels different than say your opponents thigh/hammy) take a second and see if your opponent's alright....it is a little thing called Budo Royce(Ya I said it).

See when Emanuel Newton hit Vassell in the nut's he backed off every time.

Plastic/metal definitely feels different from flesh. Royce and many other members of the Gracie family sometimes act in a fashion I would call less than honorable.

Agreed, though to be fair Newton might've been doing that to take a breather anyway :p

Example:
Rogan mentioned this on his podcast. He said that dude was fucking with Renzo all night before the fight day. Its still little extreme but i guess i understand knowing renzo??

Serious question. Why do people think that sportsmanship and being a martial artist are synonymous?

They aren't. I do carry the opinion that if you are placed in a prominent position of respect for being pioneers of bjj, you should act respectfully towards others. It is a two way street.

The Gracie family is considered by many too be, for want of a better term, mma royalty. It would be nice in my mind to see the "royalty" act regal.

Without being contrarian for no reason. When has royalty ever been regal?

it's an expectation that the fans almost claim for themselves, but really I feel it's part of the agreement between the 2 fighters

giving your opponent the opportunity to injure you and potentially affect your life permanently demands a degree of sportsmanship
