There are a few things I would like to discuss and change tho.

If the site and it's members are behaving in a way that I feel is worthy I would have no problem tossing a hundred a year to the server/infrastructure bill.

You'll have to take this up with management. This current effort is a no string attached "thank you for everything you've done" . Well there's 1 string, it has to go towards infrastructure costs.
