The only way to salvage this card is for another fighter to test positive for COVID and then they fight Jacare.

Sad that Jacare may have to experience this as he's already been through a lot. I'm hopeful he remains asymptomatic.
The UFC has pursued this idea of being the first to bring sports back mostly out of desperation, which I'm having a hard time understanding. From a public relations standpoint, this is a mixed bag. It resurrects old narratives of the promotion as being this outlaw brand that did whatever it wanted, exploiting its workers and risking health and safety, all to appeal to humanity's basest instincts. The UFC has worked so hard to distance itself from that narrative, really from at least UFC 12 back when SEG was running the company. On the other hand, if they pull it off, there will be an entertainment starved fanbase who will tune in and revel in their showing grit and determination to move forward, which is what propelled the fanbase in the early days.
It will be short term rewards at potentially great risk that could lead to long term devastation for the brand. As usual, the ones to bear the lion's share of the risk will be the fighters.

you got a camera on Dana 24/7? and he didn't wash his hands till the weigh-ins were done presumably, after fist bumping everyone and even touching quite a few fighters in other places, like Rozenstruick on his chest.
