I would expect he would slim down during camp, this is probably near the end of a bulking cycle. He's never had bad cardio, so while more muscle does tire people out quicker, I'm hesitant to say it would make him gas to add some extra muscle. It might just be that Jon Jones never trained in the off season, so was never at his absolute peak condition, which is a scary thought.God I'm going to sound like such an internet neackbeard, but...
I wonder if this new regimen is going to be beneficial.
He looks great, sure, but we are talking fighting.
He's got 25 minutes of brutal work to do.
Is he doing a low volume program to "power lift"?
I used to be bigger and more aesthetic. Now smaller, I can ruck and run further than ever in the past.
I know, I know, he's in a great camp. They will surely tell him how to workout. But I'm going to be a detractor and say that I'm not equating this new physique with a "new level of fitness".
depends on your intentions with the athlete. But we all know that's not how you judge a athlete who competes, right?
I think he gets finished this time. Jones actually being dedicated is everyone's worst nightmare...HW's included...and before all of this happened, I didn't think he would fare well against the elite HW's. Pics like that make me tend to believe otherwise.Anyone think Cormier has a chance?
Some will say yes, but if Jonathan is focussed, he's fugged. He does not like DC and I just wouldn't want to be in the disliked category.Anyone think Cormier has a chance?
I'd be surprised if the USADA weren't deciding when to knock on his door after seeing these pics.Hard work and nutrition, lol.
Photon diet, best diet.Doesn't look any different to me. Lighting.
You should delete that for realism.I just got out of the Hot Tub Time Machine and have a screen cap of Jones' future deleted tweet:

I doubt he could get John Joe to the ground. I see lot of side kicks to knees and grinding clinches on the cage..
