I always feel like it's possible to beat one, while I sit behind a bulletproof window watching them in their cage.
My wife always says "you still think you can beat a silverback gorilla, do ya?"......

Ha ha!! You sound like my cousin who is 6'1, about 245 lbs and tough as fuck, who thinks he can take just about any UFC fighter in a 3 minute fight! When you here him talk about it (especially after a few beers and a couple of bumps) you are convinced that he is absolutely convinced. He's more like my brother than my cousin as his mother took good care of me when I was young and I lived with them on and off. Anyhow, I always find it admirable, and at the very least I am reassured by his confidence when trouble comes our way from non UFC fighters, lol!I always feel like it's possible to beat one, while I sit behind a bulletproof window watching them in their cage.
Lets just say, I would rather have someone beside me who believes he can take a silverback than someone who doesn't when the shit hits the fan!

My friend, I am confident as long as I don't have to get my limbs ripped off to prove it.......I am extremely confident until my wife says "oh, yeah, go ahead and fight" then I'm like " no, I wrestled and practiced jj, it wouldn't be fair".......and I laugh as I walk away telling her "they have no idea what I would do, but they don't want that".....…..a lot of beer confidence, but don't mess with me

I just have this idea that we face off (calmly), engage and it becomes a kind wrestling match (all rules must be followed by man and gorilla, any violation results in warnings and eventually disqualification should either continue to violate the rules) and it follows the pattern of all my high school matches where I get taken down, reverse, cradle, back points, chop the arm, half nelson, more back points, just continue until i get the tech fall win and the gorilla walks away and accepts defeat........

No. Not possible for any man. From my extensive study on animal fights (LOL) apes are considered to be around twice as strong as a human p4p, due to certain physical traits (insertion points, specific musculature etc). So a 400lb gorilla would be as strong as an 800lb athletic human. That's obviously crazy and that is what you are dealing with when you talk about fighting a gorilla - craziness. These 300-400lb apes can pull themselves around with one arm. Their strength is off the charts.
On top of that, they are very fast, have HUGE teeth and are effectively wearing a crash helmet. WTF could lesnar do to that?
