Where you can purchase suppressors, pre-1986 full-auto, SBR, short barrel shotguns, and "other weapons" not legal for purchase without approval by using a lawyer and having them registered in the trust. You set up a trust with a lawyer and they handle the clerical work and you just pay and wait. You can add people to the trust so they are allowed to touch and use the weapon. My step-dad has one set up with his shooting buddies so they can shoot suppressed at the range together. If one of them dies, the other trustees take ownership of the weapons in the trust.

Can you put non-residents on your list?

I don't know. I was going to do it for when I start getting suppressors. If I die, the family will catch hell trying to sale them if they need to. If they are in the trust, they get ownership and can get rid of them easier.

You still have to pass all of the necessary checks and pay the fees, to include retaining a lawyer, but it helps in the process and in the event of death.

Funny story for anyone that’s shot IDPA

(For anyone that hasn’t, before someone starts a round of shooting, the range officer yells “shooter ready!” And then a shot timer makes a loud BEEP so they know to start shooting since it’s timed. After a round of shooting by a person, 3-4 people go out and score the target by where the bullets hit.)

While one of the guys scoring was still on the range and everyone was standing around, the guy had the timer ready to beep and yelled the phrase “shooter ready??” And the beep went off. The guy scoring targets fucking dove behind a barrel. Lol

The only guy getting ready to shoot next was with the range officer and knew what was going on.

I've used Kentucky Gun Company Online Gun Store | Largest Gun Selection | Kentucky Gun Co before and was happy with them. They had my order to me within 4 business days, if I remember correctly.

I'm curious when you say that the nearest gun store is 100 miles away, though, since in order for you to take delivery the internet seller has to send it to a Federal Firearms Licence holder, and then you would have to go to the business with the FFL to complete the paperwork and pass the background check. The FFL holder will also usually charge a transfer fee for their services. Unless there is an FFL holder (pawn shop, someone who does a small business out of their home, whatever) much closer to you, you'll have to go to the gun store anyway.

One thing that I have found useful is SlickGuns Slickguns | gun.deals | Guns and Ammo Search Engine and Gun DealsSlickguns | gun.deals | Guns and Ammo Search Engine and Gun Deals If you know exactly the make and model of gun you want, put the UPC or MPN number into their search function, and it will compare prices from several different online companies. For example, here's a Browning 1911 in 22 LR 023614072003 - Browning 051802490 1911-22 A1 10+1 22lr 4.25" | Slickguns | gun.deals Prices range from $449 through $559, some from sellers I've never heard of, and some from well-known places. Personally, I'd decide on exactly what gun you wanted, search for the model there, and then buy from whatever well-known seller offers the best price. Remember to check if the seller has free shipping. Some are free, and some charge $15-30. The FFL place will probably also charge you $30-50 for the transfer.

My most recent purchase I could have gotten at Cabelas for $950, but I found it online for $840, plus a $35 transfer fee from my local gun shop, so it ended up costing me $75 less than driving 50 miles to Cabelas.

Edit: I should also add that the internet seller will need to verify the FFL of the place you will be using to complete the transfer. If they have sent guns to that store before, it's usually no problem. If they haven't, the store will have to fax a copy of the FFL to the internet seller. Just call the store you are using for the transfer to ask them if they already have their FFL on file with the internet seller you buy from. It was no problem for me, since KY Gun Co is a fairly big operation and my local store had already accepted transfers from them in the past.

Thank for the info!

Yes there is no Gun Store nearby. But i found some FFL licensed guys that live fairly close.

Will definitely give Your Recommendations a look see.

What are your thoughts on Bud's Gun Shop? When i do my searches they seem to pop up quite a bit.

https://ganymede.meccahosting.com/~a0000ae7/aa.php (might not have what you want, but he's in Gainesville and somebody I know and trust)
SARCO, Inc. (good prices, good customer service)
Aim Surplus (bought a lot from them, excellent every time)

I've heard lots of complaints about Bud's customer service. Still, it is one of the biggest online sellers, and no doubt fills most of their orders without a hitch. If I was buying a common gun and Bud's had the best price, I would probably use them without worrying too much. For something more uncommon where the chance for a problem was higher, I'd probably try someone else unless the deal was just too good to pass up.

Headed to a hog hunt in April so my son and I have been adding to our arsenal. He grabbed the Springfield Saint and I've got the Springfield M1A 16" CQB on it's way. We've had a blast breaking in the Saint so far.

Just a few times.
Local range is being moved to different location.(pretty bummed about).

But lucky i took it out to my Uncle's Ranch and set up a homemade paper target stand i made out of Pvc.

Shot nicely!
Put about 200 rds of CCI Mini Mags High Velocity thru it.

Had about 2" groupings at 10yards.
And 2" 1/2 - 3" at 15 yards.

Its a fun shooter.

As for recommending it. It Depends.

There are better .22 pistols out there.
Better accuracy and finish.

Ive notice this gun wares easily.
Already got a few scratches and pitting on the slide catch.

But for what i paid i aint mad at it.

As for a trainer. I wouldn't call it that since no 45 recoil.

But for new shooters it does let you get used to the 1911 platform. Controls,Size, and Weight are pretty spot on to the Real Deal.

So if your looking for something fun at relatively low cost. Should be great!

Might fit the bill then. My wife likes my Colt 1911 the best of my pistols, but the recoil is what it is. I figured something like the GSG/SIG 22 LR 1911 might be a nice option.
them .22 semi-auto pistolas r notorious for jamming in my experience

very fun though
