What would be evenly-rated? Winning 2 division straps? Come on.
Well, let's look at it objectively. Every champion in the history of the world says "getting it is easy, keeping it is hard" How many UFC title defenses does he have? How many fights at featherweight since beating Jose Aldo 2 years ago? How many lightweight title defenses since beating Eddie Alvarez a year ago? His current rumored fights are a trilogy against Nate "The Gatekeeper" Diaz, or Paulie Malignaggi. Ever notice that no one has ever tries to make the point that "Well, he always fought the best available."? It's because even his biggest fans know he hasn't. Fedor was the run away winner of this category for MMA fighters before "CONOR IS THE GOAT 2 DIVISION STRAPS! OMG!!!"

"OVER" rated? I think he's perfectly-rated being that no one else is holding 2 belts. Or did.

I don't think he is overrated. technically conor is only holding one belt because he was stripped of 145 lbs. he will also vacate 155 lb belt if he doesn't defend versus Ferguson

also bj and randy couture both won two belts in different weight classes. Dan Cormier would count if we count the heavyweight belt in strikeforce.

At the same time no...but if BJ had it lined up as pretty as Conor did in his prime I am sure he would have done it.

PS Frankie has a chance of being a 2 division champ too....

If Aldo was given the chance too when he was first requesting it he should have been the first.

Scottie Pippen. He was a good player, on offense and defense, but he wasn't much when he wasn't riding Jordan's coattails. Sure as hell not a top 50 player of all time.
Pippen is easily top 50, are we doing this shit again? The guy was the best defensive player we'll ever see & the only people who can dispute that title of his either played with him or get regular rest unlike anything he got during the regular season

he wasn't better than Pippen at guarding his position, & couldn't guard 1-5 like Pippen
He was the only point guard in history to win def. player of the year. What do you mean?
As far as 1-5, certainly not.
But p4p...

You could Argue that GSP os currently holding 2 belts in the UFC right now and he has at least defended one on multiple occasions.
He only holds one as far as I'm concerned. The one he actually beat the champ to take. If he wants to hold 2 he needs to be the Woodley. However, GSP can't be overrated. I feel he's ended the GOAT discussion.

You do realize that Tank tried for a kimura once, right? Or maybe it was a hammerlock. It's been awhile...

I don't think he's even in the GOAT discussion, but that's a different matter.
GSP has more claim to being a 2-division champ than Conor ever will.
GSP did exactly what Conor did in skipping over everyone for a favorable matchup that happened to have a belt attached.
GSP is GOAT of his division, Conor is GOAT at mooney and the moovement of mooney, nothing else, ever.

You're agreeing with me, bro. GSP=GOAT of modern MMA, and I'm a huge Fedor fan. GSP came back to win the title. No one does that after a layoff, other than roided-up Randy Couture. GSP, not Anderson, presided over the deepest division in UFC history. The only comparable division was the heavyweights in Pride in the early 00's.

I do believe Conor is the real deal, and not over-rated, but he's not in the GOAT discussion.

He was never defeated at 170 so using your Conor logic he is holding 2 belts at same time.

That's what I disagree with, that Conor is overrated.
He almost got beat by Mendes on 2-weeks notice while he was conditioning for 3 months, then he punched a guy one-time for a title never to return, then he DID get finished by short-notice Diaz.
Then buys a $300,000.00 training camp to learn how to win a decision over Nate.
Then he outclasses Eddie on the feet by, as he said, "attributes". 74" reach to 69" reach.
Aaaaand gone...

I'm not saying Conor isn't good, his standup is great with impeccable timing.
But Max Holloway is a better fighter now, and casuals still don't know who he is.
There's a LARGE pile of fighters that can be argued to be better than Conor from 145-170, and certainly p4p.
Conor has just taken advantage of the perfect storm.
Brash, Irish, great standup & preferential treatment with carefully selected opportunity.
He's successful wonderfully, but wonderfully overrated.

As far as modern mma GOAT, GSP & Fedor are essentially from the same era.
I think that discussion needs to be had elsewhere, and I'm dying to correct the mma world on that topic.

No, dude, Conor never retired in between beating Aldo (winning the 145 belt) and beating Alvarez (winning the 155 belt). GSP retired, which is why he doesn't currently hold the 170 belt upon now returning.

Y'all talk some shit, but you forget Conor beat Aldo, Nate and Eddie in the span of a year, fighting 4x in 3 weight classes and taking 2 titles.
