Police in rural Virginia have released disturbing details about a woman who they say was killed by her two dogs while taking them for a walk last week.

Four days after Bethany Stephens, 22, was found, police held a second press conference to describe her death and refute rumours of foul play.

When deputies found the dogs on Friday they were guarding what police at first thought was an animal carcass.

But the body was Stephens's, and police say the pit bulls were eating her.

Why the fuck does anyone own a god damn pitbull any more?

For fucks sake, there are dogs that look cool and are just as protective that don't have such a disproportionate number of attacks on humans.

I think that's a bit of an over simplification.
If you look back at the history of dog fighting and how pit bulls developed, proper purebred American pitbull terriers are specifically bred to be not human aggressive. They are specifically meant to be dog aggressive for pit fighting. Dogs that attack their owners or bit the handlers were probably put down. That's a hell of a selective breeding Force.

The big problem is a huge gene pool of crappy dogs with crappy temperaments bread for the last 30 years as backyard idiots try to make a quick Buck on bad puppies.

Combine that with owners that regularly don't take the time to manage an already large an animal aggressive dog, that has unexpected bad temperament, and you have a recipe for disaster.

I would own this dog in a second...

But not a damn chance would I trust him around small dogs...or small children that might mimic the former.

I had a friend tell me about this pit bulls that he raised from a puppy. They never showed a bit of aggression and he was a great dog owner. One day he looks out the back window and he has quite a bit of land and there is his two pit bulls murdering one of his goats. Just out of nowhere. Because that's what they do. They attacked the other dog in the pit or in this case the goat will work.

Probably the only fix is too regulate breeding, which is probably a good idea for all dogs anyway

Saw this happen, little girl got bitten in the face, by her father's Pitbull. And he was a champ with his dogs, and that dog was cool as fuck, really sweet. You own one, you own a time bomb.

Not only that, they have the physical traits that add to the danger.

Honestly a bad idea if you're a 100 pound girl to take on caring for two of these dogs too.

Does anyone recall the video of a lady walking her two rotts and they attacked a cat sitting on someone driveway? The female owner hit the pavement face first and had no control of those two big dogs whatsoever and couldn't stop them from mangling the cat.

You guys ever pet a pitbull? They're all hard and stiff and so is their fur. I would rather have a soft rolly Polly dog with a soft head for petting.

I am not a dog person, I don't own dogs, I do not pet other people's dogs. Good on people who own them though, nothing against dogs Jdog93 @Jdog93

This is why y'all motherfuckers should get a pug. I tried my hardest to train him into a killing machine but even at his meanest he never posted a threat.

Just smack him in the chops and they settle down.

Fuck smacking a pitbull, cunt would eat my face

Can't argue that.

Song has a good point...

Even a poorly bred and poorly trained pug ain't killing you.
Don't forget the best part!

They are stupid enough that you question whether they will even go to heaven. Best dogs ever

I have three pitbulls and four kids. There hasn’t been a time that I feared for my kids when they’re around my dogs. Now my dogs once in a while get into it with each other but never towards the family. Any dog at anytime can snap on their owner. It’s not just pits. I’ve seen chows fuck people up and same thing for German shepherds. Akita’s also have been known to fuck a motherfucker up. No I’m not saying every pitbull is nice but not every pitbull is going to eat their owner.
I was reading the article just yesterday and they were saying how the pit bulls were actually eating that lady’s rib cage. Now that’s some crazy shit.
