I could see it going either way. IF Khabib gets his hands on Conor, it could be a long night like Barboza had. If not, I could see Conor landing good counters and taking control. I recognize that Conor can grapple, but I don't see him outworking or neutralizing Khabib on the mat. Khabib is clunky on the feet, Conor is a lot cleaner with strikes. I think it would come down to timing, takedowns for Khabib, or lefts/counters for Conor.
Either way I'd like to watch and find out.

My assumption is the Khabib who fought last night chose to fight that way based on who his opponent was. If he studies people as much as he says he does then it stands to reason he would approach closing the distance differently.

It's all silly speculation but to me, it looks like he studied Barboza, knew what he had to do (and was probably on a massive high after his son was born, massive emotional advantage) and implemented a very successful series of tactics. What makes you think he'd be unable to adapt to a different fighter?
