I agree. He is humble and interesting when he isnt being a caricature of himself

Yep. Nice to see this side of McGregor...not playing the character, just being genuine here.

I liked Conor when he first came on the scene I thought he was hilarious with all the over the top confidence, then I realized he wasn’t joking, he was delusional.

It's an act. You can see it in clips like this, the gif where he can't jump up on the balance beam at the beach and many others. He has a huge ego for sure, but underneath you can see he want's people to believe his schtick and he has moments of doubt. There's cracks in his armor you just have to look.

When u look at the timeline of the things, it all started after he slept Jose.

After, he always looks directly into the camera when walking out to the cage, with the most cocky eyes. First was vs Nate, and he got humbled so bad.

Then after he beat Nate, it started again and I noticed that Conor turns this part of him on and off depending on if Camera is near or not.

It shows in all of his antics and behaviors, he goes crazy whenever he’s aware that there is potential for somewonw to record and go viral.

But gotta give it to him, he sure knows how to shine when it matters the most.

This clip really shows that he thought he’d hit Nate clean he’d sleep him and when that didn’t happen he was lost.

What makes him a champion is that even with these newly found doubts in his abilities he went straight back to his gym, adjusted his game and conquered his demons (albiet very narrowly) in his next fight.

I like him when he is real and being himself. I enjoy when he is hyping fights and stuff but after awhile I just want to see the real guy again. The guy that came from the welfare line to the world titles. Our modern day Cinderella man.

He's a brilliant self promoter. MMA needs more of them.
