yep
this is just hilarious

UFC or Jons Press crew is going to ridiculous levels and angles with this one.

Rogan wasn't a good enough actor to not show that he was doing a favor(paid) to repeatedly suggest jon was unjustly yet accidentally ingesting Performance enhancers.

There seems to be a campaign to "Free This Man"

LOL whatever....money always corrupts
I think it was the pro mma radio podcast I was listening to where he broke down what UFC's testing guy said on Rogan's podcast, it seemed a bit corrupt, well actually it seemed very corrupt. I wouldn't doubt UFC is trying to get one of their few pay per view stars back in the cage by any means necessary. It's either that, or ship a Brink's truck over to Ireland

The slim possibility that he did not knowingly take PEDs in this case is easily offset by the drugs he was on previous to when he got caught.

in psycho 101, they said lie deterctors arenbt permissable in court because they only work on those that believe they will work

with that said, i believe jon. is this the time where he had that presser and was crying

i read those tears as genuine shock and pain. like a "wtf, i tried doing everything right and everything comes crashing down anyway, fuuuuck"

#teamjon

EDIT: peruvian slip. PSYCH 101, not PYSCHO 101 lol
Also they don't work when the subject believes his own hype(lies).

which with Jones.....

I hope he is telling the truth, but wasn't there an episode of the commish about how you can pass a polygraph by putting a thumbtack under your toe and stepping on it every time you answer a question?
Of course he’s telling the truth, didn’t ya read the thread title.

To add to the obvious that has already been stated, the other obvious point is that it is probably pretty easy to pass a polygraph that you pay for.

Here is the guy whose company did Jone's test spinning some shit about polygraphs:

"The second witness to take the stand Tuesday was Peter Pierangeli, a polygraph expert in Albuquerque. He says although the test didn’t give an answer one way or the other, it still holds some value.

“It is a valid test. Why? We can still score it … can still solicit information from the test that is very valuable,” said Perangeli."

Basically this guy gets paid by legal teams to challenge the polygraph tests of other legal teams:

Polygraph experts testify in slayings case

Jim Fisher True Crime: The John Mayes Murder Case

You'd have to be a complete dipshit to buy into this.

Lie detectors are extremely unreliable. 65% reliability rate. That is like flipping a coin. Do not ever take one!

Yeah... Unfortunately USADA doesn't test for drugs with a Polygraph.
So until he actually pisses clean he's a cheat in my book.

EDIT - DC passes his polygraphs as well. We know this
to be true cuz he just elects not to cheat and pisses clean.

Crazy concept DC has there. I know

But has he gone that ridiculous, obviously guilty cover your tracks kind of dedication JBJ has with taking this polygraph test? Nope

I question everyone who hasn’t now. Will wait patiently for Paige to take hers.

The polygraph expert is identified in both of the articles you cite as an expert witness for the district attorney. Perangeli doesn't farm himself out to legal teams. He exclusively testifies for the prosecution. In both linked cases he makes arguments for whether the testing was reliably administered based on the information provided. Reliability isn't the same as validity.

In the answer you quote above: “It is a valid test. Why? We can still score it … can still solicit information from the test that is very valuable." That is the scientific definition of a test being valid, i.e. do the results allow scoring to show consistent differences between true and false. Reliability has more to do with getting actually accurate answers. Nothing said in any of the above is bs. It's just scientific testimony.

Whether Jones was capable of passing a polygraph through other means seems unrelated to the source giving their opinion.

I thought one of the cases he was for the defense but I can't be bothered looking it up. I'll concede and take your word for it.

I'll just fall back to the position that we have no idea what Jones was asked and that polygraphs are unreliable anyway.

Since it is relatively easy to pass a polygraph test, im not too sure about this. I know guy who use gear and have passed their polygraph that we get when we compete in natural orgs.

I wonder if they drug tested him after the polygraph? Maybe he took a special serum designed to enhance his lie detector abilities

why didn't they ask him if he'd ever knowingly taken performance enhancing drugs before ANY mma fight?

I want Jones to be innocent but....
