I think Stipe wins either by finish in the later rounds or decision. Stipe has more tools to beat Ngannou. He probably has the best defense vs Ngannou's style of strikes too since he was Golden Gloves champ and Stipe will put pressure with takedowns over and over to wear Ngannou out. Maybe similar to Cain vs JDS 2,3.

Still undecided. Both have positives and negatives. Looking at their head to head stats a couple of things stand out like Francis having a 3 inch reach advantage (83 vs 80), accuracy is pretty close 50.24 vs 47.46 in Stipe's favor. Stipe has his wrestling to fall back on but Francis looks tough to takedown. IDK who to pick.

Francis will do what others have almost done, but complete the task.

It seems like Stipe needs to get hit for him to turn on and get into fight gear.

If Ngannou hits him I dont know if he'll be able to survive.

I'm going Ngannou but agree it could go either way very easily.

Stipe is confident and we've never seen Ngannou in deep water.

Still, I had to go Francis.

I picked Stipe. I like his ability to come forward & put pressure Ngannou, I think Stipe more technical striking & straighter shots, & the possibility of him taking Ngannou down. Wouldn't be surprised if Stipe went night-night at any point, but I like his chances to avoid that

This is just like Rocky 4...only Stipe doesn't have Rocky's chin.

Or his personality.
Stipe's not the kind of guy that'll own a room or take over a press conference like Conor would, but he strikes me as a pretty funny guy on the few embedded's I've watched. My ratings of personalities seem to differ from most here, think I said something like Rose has the personality of a doorknob before she beat Joanna & got a page or two of posts disagreeing, so maybe I'm off

The relationship he has with his wife is hilarious. He's a big time prankster.

I go back and forth on this one.

On one had, Stipe has more tools to win than Ngannou (that we've seen). But he is also hittable, which against Ngannou can be a very very bad thing. The champ is going to have to close the range without getting tagged and make this a phone booth fight. Put Ngannou up against the cage and wear on him. Otherwise, it could end poorly for him.

I'm going Stipe right now, but I might change it by tomorrow night...

How Stipe successfully uses the single leg TD will be a key factor imo, not in the earlier rounds but towards the end.

Ngannou was able to shake off Curtis Blaydes TDs in the first rounds but started getting taken down in the 2nd and 3rd even well after he hurt Blaydes.

If Stipe could survive the first couple rounds, he should be able to take Ngannou down in the later rounds, since single leg takedowns are used with more technique and don't take much energy as the Double-leg.
