I had a Korean girl visiting Canada over at my place bragging about how Koreans eat so much spicy food and white people can't handle it etc etc. So I gave her a bit of the hot sauce I use and she ran her face under the faucet for a few minutes almost crying. It was pretty funny.

Unless you really like the beans, chili is best without them. Mix up your meats with cubes of steak, ground beef, and sausage (I use spicy Italian with casings removed). I add either beer or red wine (red wine adds better flavor, imo). Add a bay leaf or two, some beef stock or beef boullion cube and your golden.

there are no beans in chiliwhoooo, it was just out of the pot in the pics so it thicken up a bit. but I am very happy with how this one came out. 25 minutes in the instant pot.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound ground beef, lean
- 1 10-ounce can diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- 1 10-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 4-ounce can green chiles
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 2 10-ounce cans of kidney beans, drained
- 1 10-ounce can black beans, drained
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1/2 tablespoon Mexican oregano
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2-3 teaspoons salt
- 2 tsp. pepper
Sorry, but bean lovers might've been able to pressure the Texas chili cook off to finally allow bean-in recipes a few years ago, but I'm not buying into that crap. Words have meanings, & chili does not have beans.
