Liam McGeary says he's back to his old self for Bellator 194

There was a point where this guy looked to be a real killer at 205, then he sort of fell off. Anyone think he can still hang with guys like Bader, King Mo, Davis etc? There's some match-ups that would be interesting for him..

He's saying now he's back to being angry
that's probably a good thing in this case.

I'm not sure what to expect from him. All fighters tend to oversell how ready they are when they are coming back. We won't know until the cage doors close and the fight starts.

I'm hoping for the best though. He would be an interesting fighter in the Bellator LHW mix now.

His old self was one who struggled against high level grapplers, so I'm pretty sure this isn't a good sign...

Issue I think he had was that he was content playing his BJJ game off his back. When I'm playing sport BJJ, I have no issues playing open guard.... However in teaching/coaching/training in MMA, I'll NEVER play off my back (unless I'm forced to be there).... It's a different mindset, stay on top, never attack submissions, get up when you can...... Liam competes in MMA like sport BJJ.

Agreed. Lima was so frustrating to watch in the 5th against Rory, being content to sit there in guard and lose the fight. He did an interview after that fight and said it will never happen again.
