You don't have to appreciate his music but Drake deserves credit for enriching the lives of others. It was a philanthropic gesture, even if he gained publicity from it.

Now, Drake's net worth was pegged at $90 million as of October 2017, according to Forbes. Comparatively, NHL defenseman PK Subban signed an eight-year, $72 million contract extension in 2014. The next year, while still playing for the Montreal Canadiens, Subban donated $10 million to the Montreal Children's Hospital.

Bottom line: Good job, Drake, but you can easily afford to make nine more similar music videos with a $1 million giveaway!

Lets be real here, we have seen it over and over again ...

Tupac, TLC, the list goes on about these artists flaunting their money around only to find out they don't have a dime to their name.

The record industry owns their candy asses just like they own Drakes.

They pump him up with some money that's not his and he goes out and gets some "good press". (Think Greg Jackson / Jon Jones go get some fans type of shit)

Drake is just a tool of the Luciferians to deceive humans ...its Satan's game of deception, in the end Drake will fade away broke and without a dime to his name like all those before him.

Good business move (but hardly philanthropic). Spends $1 million to make $10 million.
If he really wanted to make a difference, he should follow Akon's lead. And if he really wanted to just give $1 million to charity, he could've followed almost every other successful rappers lead and just do so and don't be a fame whore about it.
Even the bible is against this publicity whoring charading as charity.

Matthew 6:1-4

Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others.

Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

Does it cheapen the kind acts or bring attention to get others to follow suit?
Cool if there are no strings
I can understand making your donations or whatever public for good pr as long as the outcome for both sides is positive

I don't like drake at all though and not just his music
Pays real well to be his friend though, I can tell you that for damn sure

Umm you know he's a pedo right?
Also likes to snort coke while doing interviews
Not the best role model homie
Sorry, was being sarcastic which is hard to pick up when reading online.

Obviously that little piece of garbage is no role model, can't believe a school would let him back in to talk to students. That's a failure in itself.

What did Drake do?
can't go into it cause I don't know shit
Just pay attention to who he is connected to, what they do, What the outcomes are and how those outcomes come about

If you are in good with drake, you can get away with nearly anything in this city

Gives money away for a little publicity.
Is this considered a bad thing? Or even worth debating?
Good for him. More celebs should. They deserve good publicity if they do.
