One of the featured fights at UFC 94 in January 2009 was a lightweight fight between Clay Guida and Nate Diaz. Guida won via split decision, but both men took home an extra $50,000 for Fight of the Night honors.

Nine years later, “The Carpenter” is calling for a second fight against the younger Diaz brother for UFC 225 in Chicago, via a recent Instagram video he posted.

Clay Guida calls out Nate Diaz for UFC 225: ‘Make sure you get real, real high this time’

Nate isn't going to bother with this fight. He only wants a big money fight and people don't get excited to watch Guida fight. Nate will probably only fight again when he fights Conor again. He will finish his career with 3 straight fights against the Irishman.

I used to loath Clay Guida. Now he's turned into one of the fighters I admire most.

Consistency, DURABILITY, and seemingly still no fucks given lol

It takes a ton of heart and toughness to be a top level fighter, even more to stay at the top for a long period of time. For this, Clay Guida gets my respect.

Yes, I'm probably in the minority but I would actually LOVE to see this fight. Still a "pick em" fight but I'd lean towards Nate due to styles, progression, and if it's at 170 for sure Nate has an advantage.

In terms of why we all love this sport I love Clay to bits but I don't want to see this, thanks.

He won't win. 209 can ram it as far as I'm concerned but I don't like this one little bit.

No way Nate would take it because he's not enough of a cash draw for him, so our boy Clay lives to see another Norcal day.

And Nate hasn't fought since August 2016, what makes him think Nate is going to fight now.
I really don’t like him so I’m pretty biased...potentially scared.
Aside from admiring the beautifulness of Maia et all’s technique, I am still here loving this sport for the likes of Clay, Matt Brown, Jim Miller, Lauzon etc.

Those are the guys with the heart, grit, and commitment.
Exactly. They may not have a belt ever, but as soon as their name's on a card I'm invested. Lawler's another one. Okay he's had a belt but you know where I'm coming from.

Seeing a picture of Clay getting Shogun's autograph had me nearly in tears...he's such a fan of the sport as well as showing so much heart when he shows up to fight. That guy's a diamond.
