Interesting fight. Tecia can out work JJ but JJ is much more of a finisher. Does Tecia get a title shot if she wins because she is 1-1 against the current champ but she is coming off a loss to Andrade?

I like this fight. If Tecia can get it to the ground, she can win. If she can't she'll get lit up.

Am I a bad person for wanting jj to lose again and spiral into some kind of self destruction?

Yes. And that's ME saying it. Joanna Champion has never been anything but respectful aside from her Gollumesque weigh ins.

I think this is a good fight, actually. Tecia is fast, she moves well and she's a cardio freak.

The big problem is she doesn't have the punching power to keep JJ honest, like Rose has.

But if she can stay on the outside, avoid the leg kicks, blitz in, score, and get back out again, I think she has a shot to win.

This fight doesn't really make sense to me. Tecia just lost to the #3 contender and now she gets a shot at the #1 contender?

Probably just two top 5 fighters coming off loses so they matched mhem up. JJ has already fought the other 3 in Jessica, Claudia and Karolina.

It's a tough situation all around in the division. You have a former champ who dominated all the top fighters in the division, but has lost twice to the champ so likely won't be getting another shot anytime soon.

Tecia is the highest ranked fighter (other than Rose of course) who JJ hasn't beat. She dominated Andrade, and has beaten Claudia and Karolina twice.

Nope. I'd like to see the self-destruction of her ego. I'll give her credit for destroying that ridiculous Boogie Woman persona. Watching Joanna, Cody, & Bisping all get finished in the same event was the greatest night of MMA for me.

This is a new era. With champs like Stipe, Whittaker, Rose, etc, it's time to make room for the era of respect.

That being said, Joanna could win big, but Torres knows how to score points with her feather fists. We'll see how it all goes down.
