I can't believe Vitor Belfort & Lyoto Machida are fighting.
It's moronic that it's not billed as the main event to boot.
Belt schmelt, if I'm running the show, I put the guy that's been in the most exciting bouts since UFC 12 as the headliner with the girls underneath.

The main event is the least interesting fight on the main card.

I can't remember a single entertaining fight that Pennington has been in.

Kelleher/Lineker could be a banger. Kelvin/Jacare could be great.

How did he win his last fight. Didn't he use devastating leg kicks (or maybe I'm just imagining staring at his tush and legs the entire time)
He lost his last fight to Arlovski.

But he pieced a guy up and knocked his first opponent out. Solid hands and kicks.

She's elite. Arguably beat Holly Holm before her fight with Ronda Rousey, choked out Jessica Andrade the fight after that and made Miesha Tate look terrible most recently. Solid boxing and grappling, plus she's smarter than most other female fighters (as a fighter)

I dispute none of that and stand firm on my statement.

Was just giving you an update on her seeing as you consider Pennington so forgettable even when she's about to fight for a title. I like bantamweight so I always try and watch all the fights in that weight-class and she's definitely one of the best in the world.

Not forgettable. That's not what I said.

Her fights are less than exciting though. She's been winning but I've never seen her fight and been clamoring to see her again.

but part of what makes so many of the women's fights "more exciting" is that one fighter is often light years ahead of the other in some area of mma and so you get to see them exposing each other (no pun intended) whereas no one is really able to do that to her and no one really looks good against her either. I know what you're talking about but you're saying she doesn't deserve a title shot because you think her fights are forgettable

Don't forget Bellator 199.
If your scared of Semtex getting Fitch'ed, know that unlike Phil Davis and Bader, King Mo can actually throw hands and it mind end up being a KO.
LHW champ vs. Rizin GP champ for the final spot in the Bellator GP quarters is intriguing, even if the fight looks "iffy" on paper. This was supposed to happen for Bader's welcome to Bellator but was cancelled due to Mo's injury.
I'm not sure Aaron Pico is capable of disappointment, and the Javy/Kongo alternate possibility becomes interesting if we take the Strikeforce grand prix.
Plus, #UFC3NEVERFORGET
Piccolotti/Banks is huge for both.

The only person more deserving may be Vieira because a won over McMann and Zingano are better than Phillips and Tate in my eyes. But either way, it's a coin toss and I'm not mad at her getting a crack at it.

Vieira was losing to McMann though wasn't she? and Zingano hadn't fought since July 2016.

I definitely think Pennington's Tate win has more value than either of those other wins currently, but yeah I'd still be surprised if she was able to keep it competitive with Nunes across 5 rounds, let alone win.

The only reason i take some away from the Tate fight is that she looked a shell of herself and was so seemingly happy to retire after it. Still a huge win but I think Tate had making babies on the brain and just wasn't committed to fighting anymore.
