Point is Bellator's top guys fight as often as the UFC's do, so that reasoning is bullshit.
Rory Macdonald wants to fight more often but Bellator cannot afford it. There is a difference.
Did they know about that when they started offering signing bonuses? Rory got paid upfront, before he ever fought once for them. Hell, they were paying Pico monthly just to train.
Joe Warren gave him bad problems in their first fight and picos bigger and stronger wrestler with way better hands and power.. give Pico another year and I don't see him losing at 145..Also strauss laid out a blue print on him... pitbull is unreal but his time is coming.

Part of me thinks that this has to do with the fact that fighters are watching ufc negotiations for potentially 450m a year just in the United States while they are making 40/40

It probably is considering the news I read about him still not being officially released. It was just Dana “intending to release” yair.

I'd agree with that, except Pitbull finished Strauss in their last fight convincingly. Pitbull's KO power and his jiu jitsu are good enough to make him a difficult out for anyone.
Pitbull would definitely handle Pico at this point in time. I’d give Pico at least another 2 years before he is ready for a pitbull, weichel, Sanchez.
