UFC wanted GSP/Diaz winner vs Conor/Khabib winner

I think they only test for recreational drugs a few weeks prior to the fight
yeah I know, in-competition testing. I see why my phrasing was misleading, but to finish his camp he'd need to be drug free even a few weeks prior to the event as you say.
He can certainly stay away from partying
One thing about him is the fact he always made weight & always showed up ready to fight.
He seems to be an extremist in that regards.
He is ALL-IN, no matter what he does.
I think that is a big reason he backed out of signing the NYE fight with Ferguson.
When UFC met his demands, he changed them again (before Bellator thing), because he wasn't ready to drop everything to fight

Such a goombah way of doing business. Just sign contracts that include stated guarantees.
Then again Frank and Lorenzo sold the UFC for 2100x what they bought it for, so what do I know...

If Conor signs to fight, I have no reason to think he will blow (pun) 8 figures by doing coke two weeks prior to the fight

Obviously UFC didn't offer Diaz enough money and Diaz's only worth what he's asking IF he fights Conor, and only Conor.
Although GSP expressed taking shot at the LW strap, he already said Nate Diaz is not the one he wants for it's a lose-lose situation without gaining anything even if he'd won.
And GSP openly admitted to ducking Khabib until he feels 100% healthy (referring to his stomach problem).
So, unless GSP's cured all of a sudden, nothing out of above mentioned is happening, we're back to square 1

I think GSP is taking money fights regardless of opponent but possibly refused the fight due to his health not being 100%.
Let's be honest, everyone in MMA wants the chance to fight Conor (which Georges would've gotten had he predictably beaten Nate).
My post was based on his public statements. Once he's healthy he wants Khabib or Conor, whoever has the belt.
Conor knows he has one more big money title fight left. He either gets dummied by GSP or Khabib, and he’s going to take the biggest payday of the two.
Going 1-1 (0-2) against Diaz definitely hurt his drawing power.
Don’t get me wrong he is a great personality and his fights will always draw interest just like the Diaz brothers do, but after he gets beat up again his drawing power is going to be much more personality driven than title driven.
His micro-penised fans will pay to see him talk shit to a security guard at Walmart.
But most fans will only put up with his schtik as long as he’s winning.
