I just came home to a bunch of (I hate this term but it fits) FAKE NEWS about UFC 225 numbers.
Ranging from 150-275k

Nothing valid is out yet.

The only two things we know are:
Google searches = pretty good
Prelim = real bad

Meltzer has not released even a very early estimate yet & his newsletter comes out overnight (tonight)

The #224 numbers I posted here were from Dave to me personally by email (before his newsletter came out) as Wild @Wild knows (that was why there was no TMMAC article).
When I get them ... you will

Regarding Dave's accuracy:

How he gets his numbers:
He gets reports from distributors due to his 30 years of covering these things (WWF)
If enough early distributors come in, he will say an early estimate.
Cable & sat co, release numbers according to their accounting schedules.
That is why even SHO waited for final numbers for about 3 months.
As far as internal UFC.com numbers. Those numbers eventually get released & you can get a good estimate of what a fight did by going by the recent released history.
That is why his numbers are always "about" if not exact
But as MMA Junkie reported, they are good enough to go buy.

The numbers to never go by are from Dana at a presser lol

EDIT:

Meltzer:
The Los Angeles Times reported this show, which was filled with stars, did less than 150,000 buys on PPV. We don’t have any solid figures but other early estimates are far above that. By next week we should have something that at least confirms the range of how it did.

This is not good.
Bellator needs a strong #2 org, I hope UFC steps up it's game, possibly incorporating midgets(legit bonfied midgets) for the first time in UFC history.

Now, for those of you that think this is a crazy statement, The LPA (little people of America) establishes midgets as 4'10" and below, and Mighty Mouse is 5'3".

“Hey listen, when Alistair Overeem sells as many pay-per-views as ‘CM Punk’ does, we can argue,” White told reporters after Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 130, which took place at Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

Bellator's lone PPV only got 100k buys.

Maybe Coker should force the undercard guys to sell PPVs instead of tickets?

Mighty Mouse.
Short? sho. Not a midget.
Remember Henry Cejudo?
He's 5'4" tall, went to the Olympics and won a gold medal? That ain't midget!
John Lineker, 5'2" . Supertiny yes legit midget no.
UFC needs full midgets.
Never say no on full midgets.

Add up how much money McG has made for the UFC vs how much Khabib has made, and you will know whose agreement is the important one.
I get that but two fighters need to agree

But any "I won't fight Conor talk is posturing"
The only 1m buy PPV fight Khabib has is with Conor & that is where the $$$ is.
plus I don't doubt he thinks he can kick his ass & if he does he is a made man afterwards

You don't think Khabib vs GSP breaks a million?

I really hope it did more than 150k, I want Whittaker to be a success. I want him to be huge. Phrasing.
