Be honest, does it tick you off?
Does it seem unfair?
Do you think Trump is doing wrong getting tough on American allies such as Canada?

Are you afraid of the possible inflated costs of living that may come from these trade wars?

*shrug*

Not a fan of Turd-eau but it seems to be expected fro Trump that he would treat allies like this.

I like what Trump has done to upset the apple cart of the SJWs and those like them.

The counter tariffs are dollar for dollar so no biggie. I'm not going to cry about it. Also, it's a great incentive to start trading more with China who will pay for our stuff too. With the tariffs raising the costs it will be more worth while to sell to Asia. As that starts happening it will be easier to bundle other goods into the deal for shipping etc.

I've had this discussion with a few people IRL over the last few days, including my dad who is a CNN-watching Bernie Bro, none of which were happy with my take.

No, I'm not mad and I don't think it's unfair. Donald Trump has no obligations to me or any other Canadian. He was elected to serve the American people, and make decisions in their best interest. I can't blame any world leader for aggressively looking out for their country's best interest, because that's what they should be doing. That's the platform Trump ran and was elected on: that he was going to hammer out all these great deals for America.

The thing that makes me mad is the fact that us Canadians don't have a leader who is aggressively looking out for OUR best interest. Trudeau is more interested in being SJW Queen of the World, making deals with other countries to improve their gender equality. How the fuck does that benefit me that they start treating broads better in China? Who cares? We're now the PC police of the world.

"Ooooh, you better check your white male privilege around us Canadians! Oooooooh your toxic masculinity is showing, we can't have that, eh?"

It's embarrassing. And Trudeau will cave and give Trump everything he wants.

LOL this went down better than I realized.

Trump Arrives Late for Trudeau's Gender Equality Lecture

Trump shows up late to G7 gender equality session

LA MALBAIE, Que. -- A tardy Donald Trump created a distraction Saturday when he showed up late for a G7 meeting on women's empowerment.

The U.S. president arrived several minutes after the start of the breakfast meeting between G7 leaders and the gender equality advisory council that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau created for this year's summit in the Charlevoix region of Quebec.

Trump missed Trudeau's introductory statement at the meeting and entered the room while council co-chair Isabelle Hudon, who is Canada's ambassador to France, was speaking.

His arrival was impossible to miss as security personnel had to open a path for Trump through a mob of journalists, many of whom were holding large cameras.

Trump stopped at the edge of the room and flashed a big smile in Trudeau's direction before continuing to his seat.

The rapid-fire clicks of cameras intensified as Trump made his way into the room -- to the point that the noise of all the cameras almost drowned out Hudon's remarks.

Fellow G7 leaders stared at Trump as he slowly made his way to his seat, which was across the table from Trudeau and next to International Monetary Fund managing director Christine Lagarde.

The president has made a lot of noise at this year's G7 event in the Quebec town of La Malbaie -- first by launching a Twitter attack on Canada's trade policies before the summit and then for suggesting Russia be invited to re-join the alliance.

The summit ends later Saturday, but Trump is set to leave early, missing the discussion on climate change and protecting oceans.

The president is leaving Quebec for Singapore, where he will hold a summit on Tuesday with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Before Trump's late arrival at the breakfast event, Trudeau told the room that he wanted to see the creation of a mechanism to look at gender equality across all areas of discussion and study when it comes to the G7.

"Every topic we discuss needs to reflect on its impact on women as well as further intersectionalities, whether it be race, gender identity or background or cultures," he said.

"These are the kinds of things that we know matter when we're talking about economic growth that works for everyone."

Trudeau then thanked the council for its work and for its "bold" recommendations.

The look on Angela Merkel was priceless wasn't it. What a hoot. I half think Trump is laying down these punitive tariffs against Canada just because Trudeau made him sit through a gender equality lecture in French. I honestly thought from the get go that the Trump/Trudeau relationship would deliver some great moments and so far it hasn't disappointed.

And the fun has only just begun ;)

If you even make it through our first line of defense which is stinging nettles and thick black berry bushes. The unfortunate ones who haven't turned back will find themselves in our fields lined with slippery goose shit being gaurded by cobra chickens

Why does Trudeau have any say in this?
Isn't Meghan Markle the queen of Canada now. Just have her fine ass meet with Trump and she will fix everything.

I think other world leaders dont respect Trudeau and that makes it worse. I have no proof of this but I get the sense trump doesn't respect trudeau ar all.
