I don’t get it?
He's trying to make the claim that only old, not good enough for the UFC guys fight in Bellator, even though he'll be rubbing his nipples and getting all worked up when the UFC books a 40 year old with a nearly .500 record to fight Jon Jones...

I look forward to you telling us Erik Anders is the 2nd coming after his next win.
If Bader were to beat Tito now would that really be redemption? Bader will never get back what he lost that night when he tapped.

Did Machida even win the Anders fight? Wasnt that fight in Machidas hometown?

Bellator is becoming the UFC Senior League.

Kinda like how MLS is for European soccer players...
Sadly.. this is super accurate in the way that they're perceived by the casual to moderate fans .

I'm afraid that because of that it's going to take a little shine off of the young studs like Pico and Ruth because if the old guys can compete in Bellator then even the young guys that are crushing people are just seen as beating up cans and couldn't hack it in the UFC.

he's coming off off back to back wins. One was a ppv featured fight and the other was a Fight night main event. I'm not gonna try and say Machida is the killer he used to be, but acting like promoting him is suddenly a sin for bellator is a joke.

I know he's knocking on a bit and Bellator are picking up all of the UFC's what are considered "rejects" but this is a good signing, I like Machida. He comes out to Korn as his walkout song sometimes too which is a plus.

For what it's worth.. I like this signing way more than almost any of the other old guys that Bellator has signed.

His chin is weakened but he still seems to have something in the tank other than just a desire to not be retired.

Too afraid to guess, cause you know it's a shit ton :)
The difference is they arent being picked up after being cut by someone else. Machida went to bellator because they are willing to overpay for name value only. They are trying to make Chuck Tito 3 for fuckes sake

They aren't, Oscar De La Hoya is.

And you can come up with whatever bullshit excuses help you sleep at night, but the UFC has more 'senior league' fighters by far (they aren't being picked up from elsewhere because the UFC is creating their own retirement home :D )

No when their current contract is up they dont get resigned by the UFC and get overpaid by bellator. Isnt that exactly what Machida just did

Machida left on a 2 fight win streak and got paid what he deserves.

I did a quick count- the UFC has more than 3 times as many guys 36 years or older. Allll locked up in contracts, happily being paid by the UFC.
