Registered Independent but almost always vote Democrat.

I will not be joining in any "anti-separation" protests today. I'm not even sure they will be that large.

I'm in favor of tighter border security, including a wall.

But no, I'm not voting for Trumpito in 2020.

The Democrats could win for a decade if they would push 100% e-verify and skills based immigration reform.

Not sure why they keep pushing a pro-illegal immigration platform (or at least a relaxed border control platform).

Most Democrats are against it.

There isn't a country in the world that thinks that is logical. On top of probably 90% of democrats thinking that is nuts, are they not trying to persuade swing voters? Going in the complete opposite direction of whatever trump does is not rational.

Well Trump is a fucking idiot so going against whatever he does is the more logical solution most of the time, but the Dems need to be smart about it.

Going against something he does that has wide cross-party support (I mean voters, not politicians) is not the best tactic.

Hard for me to argue the intelligence factor since liberal policy is so well thought out. And it's funny you mention how articulate they are. I was just saying the other day how articulate all the urban youths were. They were all raised very well by equally articulate parents.
