Neiman Gracie is not going anywhere.

The undefeated welterweight prospect has inked a new longterm contract with Bellator, promotion officials told MMA Fighting on Tuesday.

Gracie (8-0) has won six in a row since joining the Bellator roster in 2015, including five submissions. Gracie last fought in April 2018, submitting Javier Torres in the second round at Bellator 198.

Speaking with MMA Fighting prior to his last Bellator appearance, Gracie said he hoped that a win over Torres would take him “to the top” of the welterweight division.

“After this fight, I hope I face one of the top guys to earn a title shot,” Gracie said in April.

”I believe none of them have my level on the ground and that will be the weapon I will use to defeat them when I fight them,” he said of the likes of Paul Daley, Douglas Lima, Andrey Koreshkov and Rory MacDonald. “I’m on a level above them on the ground.”

I think he’ll have a tough time with Lima and Rory. Great long term signing though.

im always happy to watch a gracie take a beating

Why?

Even Royce and Renzo?

I can understand of rooting for fighters they are fighting against, but why do you have this vitriol towards the Gracie's of all people? Explain if you can be so kind man

when is the last time a gracie won a meaningful fight? when is the last time one of them rounded out their game to a modern level? they are still trying to ride out the family name and win mma fights with only juijistu.its is arrogant. as soon as modern mma evolved they were left behind and never really caught back up.renzo is the most likable of the bunch but i always enjoyed seeing royce get his ass beat . they should stick to pajama wrestling and fighting guys on the beach

you mean as soon as modern MMA stopped being like a real fight and more like a sport?

Man if Otrega ever falls out with the UFC (possible) him vs Neiman would be a Grappling Showcase.

Neiman would have too much size on him (Welterweight vs Featherweight), and it's not likely Ortega leaves anytime soon (especially if he wins the title).

IF

He gets the title shot.

Who knows how long max is out.
Ortega already denied the UFC Interim shot.

Dont get me wrong.
If anyone can capture the featherweight gold in the UFC its him.

Just imagineing the Awesome Matchup is all.

I think you are reaching and looking for reasons to hate that are not even usual. How good or bad a Gracie is at MMA is meaningless to me, anyone who competes deserves respect, and I will only hold it against a Gracie or anyone when they display bad character, which at times some have. But most do not. Go ahead and carry on as you see fit, but I think those reasons are odd for my liking. It is straight regardless
