I knew entering this thread to see your reply would be worth it, but goddamn, are you serious !?! :D
yes im serious. if it rains and then gets real hot right away the cherries will split and the crop is worthless so all over the valley right now farmers will be paying $2000 an hour to dry their crops off fast. luckily our area we make helicopters locally and have several different companies here

Don't think you can even legally do that in the UK lol

Must be a lot of value in that crop to be worth spending $2000 ph to save it, how many hours have they been at it so far?

You’d think a bunch of people with backpack blowers would work too.

they probably did it for 4 hours. they will do it every time it rains until the crop is harvested

it works better from the top. it would be much cheaper just to hire some hindus with leaf blowers but they need to dry out the drop of water in the divot at the bottom of the stem.if it dries out to fast it splits the fruit

both perhaps? to cut down on the helicopter time, and I bet the blast from above still misses underneath at least a bit, they'd be able to follow a safe distance behind and help out. Interesting idea.
