According to UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw, the UFC are in the early stages of planning a champion vs. champion fight between himself and flyweight titleholder, Henry Cejudo.

When Cejudo won the flyweight title after beating longtime flyweight kingpin Demetrious Johnson last month at UFC 227, he said he wanted to move up a weight class and challenge for the 135-pound belt. Since then, Cejudo and Dillashaw have made it clear they want to fight each other, most recently exchanging jabs in a TMZ Newsroom.

Talking on the Joe Rogan MMA Show, Dillashaw discussed where talks currently stand regarding the champion vs. champion fight with Cejudo.

Although Cejudo has said he is more than willing to move up to bantamweight for the fight, Dillashaw stated the fight will take place at 125-pounds, meaning only he will be able to get his hands on another belt if the fight does take place.

I like it better at 125.
Cejudo shouldn't go up without a defense first
We saw that with Conor

Interesting fight but this ain’t a super fight

Just because you beat someone super doesn’t automatically make u into super status

Champ vs champ, right? Why wouldn't it be labeled a super fight?

It’s not even close

You have a guy who got his cunt smacked by the “former” champ who he beat by a razor close decision.......not quite a “super fight” m8

Disagree. Any time two champions fight it's a superfight. In fact I'd argue there is no other way to have a superfight than if both opponents are champions

what about 2 interim champs fighting for the division belt?
Because until he rematches a split decision win over the P4P champ (who outstruck him 81-51 in Significant Strikes), he's just an interim title holder.

I don't blame Henry for trying to grab whatever pay day he can, because MM is going to shut that door forever when they rematch.
