There was a brief moment in time when FITE TV, one of the distributors for Saturday night’s card, was planning a “Black Friday” sale for the Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz 3 pay-per-view event, promoted by Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy MMA. The original PPV cost was $49.99, then it was slashed to $39.99, and the purpose of the Black Friday promotional deal was to reduce the cost further to just $19.99 if you ordered within two hours after the ceremonial weigh-ins.

Unfortunately, there’s been a change of plans. The discount is no longer happening “due to contractual restrictions,” when asked about it on Twitter.

Unfortunately due to contractual restrictions, we are unable to offer the planned Black Friday…

Who is going to pay $39.99 for this? I would be shocked if they get 50k buys.

i will be shocked if the get 25k. this isnt an affliction card it is not even a free bellator card.i have a hard time justifying paying 39.99 which ends up being 54.99 CDN when rizin cards cost 19.99 and are worth twice as much.im going to stream this and talk shit thru the whole thing. i am expecting it to be on the level of that cam soda mma show earlier in the year

i have bought some questionable events on fite.tv . lethwei, ganryujima etc but they were all under 15 bucks .i just cant justify paying to see the ghost of chuck liddel fight tito again when the best fighter on the rest of the card is either tom lawler or gleison tibau. im just hoping that oscar didnt snort up all the payroll and these guys dont get a bunch of rubber checks

I know that Sex Chicken @Sex Chicken purchased this event before the price dropped from $49.99.

According to him, seeing a 48 year old headline against a 43 year old is "an inspiration".

Shady company. They still owe me 8 bucks from being an affiliate of theirs. Dropped the program and told no one.
