What is the repair/replacement process like?

You don't need to replace or repair a oneplus. It stays the market leader until you decide to upgrade

What is the repair/replacement process like?
It's covered thru my Carrier T-mobile.

I would have preferred to buy from the manufacturer directly but T-mobile was running a crazy good deal for November.

Free Phone on them for New members with 3 lines and old device trade in.

So far the costumer service has been amazing so I expect the warranty and repair process (god forbid) will be the same.

Will update if the Devil should make it happen.

Yes. I sold my Pixel xl a few months back and got it. The Bixby thing is kind of lame but other than that it's a great phone.
What I don't like about the S7 Edge that I have is that the screen is ridiculously expensive to replace. While most phone screens (including iPhones) are $100 or less to repair/replace, my screen os around $250-300. I'm not gonna spend that much money on a 3 year old phone.

I'd like it if there were more realistic options for an Android smartphone besides Google/Samsung, but that is looking less and less likely.
