Nope. And the odds are about the same for a police officer.
what's your point?

scared rabbits shouldn't get guns. And if scared rabbits kill the people they're supposed to protect, without cause, they should go to jail.
My point is if some of your coworkers were getting shot in the face doing their job you may end up being a "scared rabbit" when you see someone running and acting dumb

None of this guy's co workers have been shot in the face. One officer has been shot in Alabama this year, killed as he talked to a man who had killed his ex-wife, who committed suicide after killing the officer.
.
More cops are killed by traffic accidents than guns, and I drive to work every day without having a PTSD attack.

You can't excuse his behavior because of a completely IRRATIONAL fear.

They deal w felons all day long and other cops are also his co-workers. Not just his department. If someone gets shot in another county, they r still a cop.

co-worker means you work together. Every electrical engineer in the world isn't my co-worker.

and again, it's an IRRATIONAL fear. No points.

222M licensed drivers (only about 115M drive regularly, but I'll use the bigger number)
40k driving deaths.
1:5500 deaths

400k cops. 43 shooting deaths. 1:9300 deaths

If you drive to work every day, you're at least twice as likely to die in a car wreck as a cop is to be shot in the line of duty.

completely irrational fear

show me those numbers and how they support your position.

I'm going to use 6.3M traffic accidents/year as comparison, and the fear will once again be shown to be
COMPLETELY IRRATIONAL

i'm bad at my job.

this officer is a criminal. I'm sympathetic, to an extent, but with great power must come greater accountability.
Again, I don't disagree.

That being said, if an autonomous car killed someone because the software missed something due to a programming error. Would you expect to have the public demand murder charges be brought against the programmer?

I understand if u can't answer because you know where this is going don't you
i just don't understand how my Feels about BLM/KapKneel has anything to do with the rationality of a cop's fear that they will be shot or otherwise assaulted.

You understand it just fine or you would answer the question. Do you support black lives matter and NFL kneeling or no? Are you embarrassed to admit it?

well, now you're just accusing me of being deceitful. I am not. I do not understand what my feelings about BLM or NFL protests has to do with the rationality of a fear of being shot at work. Please explain the relevance, or go back to explaining the why the fear is rational.

I guess I can say broadly that I support every person's right to petition their government peacefully, and I oppose any instigation of violence.

So I have to explain how you're going to look dumb before you admit to supporting something u support. It's obviously relevant, I didn't ask your favorite flavor of ice cream.

Go ahead and tell me what I think.
Then explain why it's dumb.
Then Google "strawman' and 'petitio principii'

Before I Google that, please telle what your response will be if I reply either way. I support all principles
reply to what? your non-sequitur? just explain what BLM has to do with this, or explain why a cop's fear of being shot on the job is rational.

sorry, this deserves a response. Is autonomous driving software a monopoly granted by the state? Has the programmer sworn an oath to protect and defend the people who use his software? Was the programmer negligent in the performance of his duties?

If the answer to these is "yes", then I support manslaughter charges against the programmer.
