Yesterday the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held their UFC 231 pre-fight press conference at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The press conference featured UFC President Dana White, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway, featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega, and UFC women’s flyweight title contenders Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Valentina Shevchenko.

The presser was designed to set-up this Saturday’s UFC 231 event at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, but it risked being overshadowed due to a controversial story that broke a day earlier.

On Tuesday Brett Okamoto of ESPN

UFC reportedly told MMA media members to just focus on UFC 231 at press conference, not Greg Hardy

I think this is one of those "looking to be offended" stories I keep hearing about.
Fuck the UFC for trying to control questions,
And fuck everyone who thinks the two unrelated fighters shouldn't be on the same card.
And fuck anyone who disagrees : :)

That's some bullshit from the UFC. Much like the Washington Redskins, they have shown their true colours (no pun intended) on the issue, and they're trying to avoid the public relations backlash on the matter that the Skins were forced to meet head on, and did a miserable job of. I know Dana has cut a fighter in the past for his domestic assualt incident, and bad mouthed the guy in the process. I can't recall who it was now, but it was clearly a lower tier fighter without the marketability of a this shit plug from the NFL. I hope everyone free streams the shit out of that event.......because obviously we aren't going to skip the fight, lol! Everyone will want to see this asshole (Hardy) get destroyed, just don't give the UFC your money in doing so.

Trying to control the media is way outta line.

That said its just the culture of pc politics and everyone being
so offended by everything.

Greg Hardy has absolutely nothing to do with Rachel. All this just makes
for good media and clicks. Greg probably doesn't even know who Rachel
is and neither does 99.99 % of UFC fans.

But I get it. The UFC shoulda never put them on the same card.

Whoever made this card is dumb as fuck and the staff that okayed it
is even fucking dumber

Clearly WME has a staff full of Morans' and I've been saying
they are dumb as fuck and couldn't care less about MMA for a
while now.

They are so clueless and out of touch with MMA and fighters it wouldn't
surprise me if they didn't even know Rachel was the same Rachel
that just got abused when they booked this card.

How else could they be so careless when they put this together

Clueless ftards

I agree. Greg has fuck all to do with Rachel.

And why does it matter if Rachel is ok with it per Dana?

What is she in danger from Greg? LOL

Greg's gonna whoop her ass on site cuz her husband did it just so he
can one up him?

This is the dumbest shit I have seen WME do in a while.

On Greg's side.... you just know his people are trying to figure
out how in the world the UFC thought this would be good for him.

Greg is trying to shed all this shit... By all means lets make a card
where he will get hounded with these questions and be all over the
news about abusing women again. LMAO

WME is damn clown show and a bunch of buffoons

The UFC could care less about these MMA sites, as they mainly appeal to the hardcore fans. However, they can do whatever they want to shills like Helwani and Morgan because they depend so much on access.
