I will accept blame for anything ranging from AIDS (it was a good looking monkey, I regret nothing) to the Rwandan genocide (a Tutsi cut me off in traffic) but never associate me with anything as ridiculously stupid as the shoey.
Rant coming - Australians are insecure cunts who desperately want the world to pay attention to us, and have a hard time accepting that nobody gives a fuck. I honestly didn't know a 'shoey' was a thing (probably a northern states thing - it's reversed here the northern parts of the country are where the retards live) until it got attention among North American media, and that just made it blow up. We are the idiotic clown of countries, the kid who will eat worms if it means getting attention.
For a laugh, pick any American celebrity and watch an Australian interview with them. 8/10 times, the first question will be 'what do you think of Australia?' Like a desperate future stalker you went on one date with that needs immediate validation 'do you love me?'. It's sad and pathetic.
