Holy shit...
Great tune!

Carol is awesome, one of the most prolific session players. She wrote so many iconic parts for songs that became huge. She was part of “The Wrecking Crew”, and there’s some good stuff on the YouTubes if you search that. The Wrecking Crew is the band on an incredible amount of hit song recordings from the 60s/70s, more than a lot of people even realize.

She was credited for bass on one of my favorite tunes of all time...just listen to bass and bass alone.

It reminds me of how McCartney implemented the bass on the Sgt. Pepper album. Often recording the bass track after the rest of the song was complete, transforming the bass into a lead instrument of sorts.

This video hits a little on her connection to The Beach Boys, and the Pet Sounds album.

She was a BAD lady! Incredible talent.

Merry Christmas to the music thread. Best thread ever. No petty arguments (unless of course we start about how Gilmour was the soul of Pink Floyd and Barret was a mere junky that gave himself a drug induced psychosis...), just sharing the good stuff. Shalom motherfuckers.
