I hope Dana learned his lesson about signing celebrities. I don't think the juice was worth the squeeze on this one.
I don't know how much he paid Punk but he did bump the buys. If he got Logan Paul I think it would be a decent/significant bump but who knows how much he'd have to drop on him. Honestly, I think it would be a good idea if the price isn't too high and he should pick a fighter and instruct them to clown Paul a lot as he beats his ass. It could do wonders for the UFC's sagging PPV buys.

In the end I believe it is the control that matters to Dana more than how much he has to pay them.

They paid Punk handsomely but probably turned a profit. I don't think they see the profit as worth it, only time will tell though.

I disagree on the clowning thing. Mike Jackson clowned punk and that one was a lot worse for the UFC than the first one was. Dana hated that Jackson did that.

It would help with the PPVs that Logan fights on, but it's so far removed from what the UFC actually offers that I think any long-term business gains would be negligible.

The difference re: the clowning is that Punk took everything seriously and clowning him made people feel bad. Logan Paul will be viewed as nothing but a villain by MMA fans and his fans that come over and buy the ppv would be impressed by it...

I think a good chunk of his fans could come over and stay. They are very young. Jake Paul estimates that his fan base is 8-16.
