Jason Knight has been released by the UFC.

“They cut me after that last loss,” Knight told BJPENN.com this week.

Knight has been fighting for the UFC since 2015 and has recorded nine fights inside the Octagon. After losing his first fight on the organization, Knight won four in a row over the likes of Jim Alers, Dan Hooker, Alex Caceres, and Chas Skelly. The winning streak put Knight into the rankings and many believed he could very well be a future title contender.

However, he then fought Ricardo Lamas and lost the fight by TKO in the first round. That loss set Knight back, as he would then lose his next three fights with his most recent fight being at UFC 230 in November against Jordan Rinaldi.

Fighters Craig ‘Thundercat’ White and Naoki Inoue have also been released.

He swung for fences and left it all in there each fight instead of taking the smart methodical approach.

It may have cost him the win sometimes and apparently being in the UFC as well.

But Damn if wasn't it Entertaining.

And earned him many fans in the process.

Hope he finds a place where he can still throw down for the masses.

I'll still be watch that's for Dang sure.

I genuinely don't know wtf this guy is............
Exciting fighter, thick deep south accent, had some impressive wins but dropped 4 straight so this shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody.

Amazing power and hard chin, but his technique wasn't the smoothest and, as you can see by his record, his opponents exploited aforementioned sloppiness.

Not sure. Dan Hardy dropped four straight but Lorenzo, who owned the UFC at the time, came out and said something like I will never release Dan Hardy.

Chuck was only 3 straight before "retiring".

MMAHAWK @MMAHAWK you know anyone with more than 4 straight losses staying on the roster?

You reckon the UFC would let gaethje or the Korean zombie lose 6 straight and not cut them?

Was just about to post about BJ.

6 fight losing skid, 7 fight winless skid
That's gotta be the record. That's what made me ask about tkz and gaethje .Both are always contenders for fight of the year, but would UFC keep them if they kept churning out fotn but losing?
