Temple burglary suspect may be connected to 2009 missing woman case
A man accused of burglarizing the home of an ex-girlfriend in Temple is also a possible person of interest in a missing woman case in Bloomington, Minnesota according to investigators.
Police there say Cedric Marks is the ex-boyfriend of April Pease, who disappeared in March 2009. Investigators tell FOX44 News that the case never closed, but interest has resurfaced in Marks because of his recent arrest. He and Pease had a child together and were involved in a custody case.
Officers in Grand Rapids, Michigan arrested Marks on a burglary charge filed in Temple last month. He's accused of breaking into the home of Jenna Scott. As we reported last week, Marks has waived extradition. He is still in the Kent County Jail at this time.
Jenna Scott and her friend Michael Swearingin disappeared near the beginning of this year. Police found their car in Austin, but their families have not heard from them since. We spoke to them this weekend, and they are asking anyone with information about their disappearance to come forward.
FOX44 News will continue to bring you more information about this investigation.
