Aldo bitched publicly that he wasn't going to accept anything other than a title fight. He ended up fighting Frankie for the featherweight belt after Conor was stripped.Aldo sat around a bit after losing his title to a similarly embarrassing flash KO, but in the end, that vicious motherfucker got off his ass - and god bless him for mangling that young punk recently, then being so polite and supportive to him.
haha that's goodThe end result is you get a guy like Stipe - toughest man in the world for a while - who takes a loss like a petulant child who himself learned how to take a loss from Ronda Rousey.
You know what's funny? I love Aldo....but I almost hope Conor never gives him a rematch. Aldo did/has done the exact same thing to Cub Swanson for years. So in that instance- fuck him.Aldo bitched publicly that he wasn't going to accept anything other than a title fight. He ended up fighting Frankie for the featherweight belt after Conor was stripped.
i love DC, but he's acting like Stipe didn't put together an impressive HW resume in the UFC.Such a weak response. Why isn't he fighting Cain instead of Francis? If he beats Cain, that forces DC's hand, especially if the Brock fight doesn't come together for whatever reason. Stipe's acting like he wasn't knocked out in the first round by Cormier, which is a little disrespectful.
Stipe defended the belt 3 times. Aldo defended his UFC belt 7 times, the WEC belt twice before that, and he didn't get an automatic rematch. Cain had to fight again before getting a rematch against JDS when he was already the #1 contender at the time, why isn't Stipe doing the same? Also, DC doesn't want to risk his HW legitimacy against a guy he flatlined in one round?i love DC, but he's acting like Stipe didn't put together an impressive HW resume in the UFC.
Stipe is the #1 contender, but DC doesn't want to risk his HW legitimacy against a guy like Stipe.
Just because UFC screwed Aldo to protect Conor doesn't make it OK for UFC to screw Stipe to protect DC.Stipe defended the belt 3 times. So let me understand:Stipe defended the belt 3 times. Aldo defended his UFC belt 7 times, the WEC belt twice before that, and he didn't get an automatic rematch. Damn. I just said that and didn't post till after you did...Just because UFC screwed Aldo to protect Conor doesn't make it OK for UFC to screw Stipe to protect DC.
Everybody in the HW division has 'one-shot' power. The Stipe/DC fight was very competitive until DC landed with his one-shot power. If Stipe lands first in a rematch, DC's claims to HW greatness are greatly diminished.
Like Joana Jedrzejczyk?DC speaks the truth, get another couple wins and earn a title shot
Conor's punch landed a fraction of a second before Aldo's. Aldo was/is a bad match-up for Conor. Probably worse now that Aldo is on a mission and Conor is on a tour of legal jurisdictions.

UFC screwed Aldo by not giving him a rematch, and they did it so Conor could move to 155 and challenge for a 2nd title.
Still pushing the intentional eye poke eh? What are your thoughts on Stipe palming at DC and getting his thumb in his eye?So let me understand:
- UFC does the wrong thing to Aldo because they want to protect Conor and exploit the hype.
- Stipe asks for fair treatment (he got poked in the eye intentionally right before the KO and was one of the few people to ever successfully defend the HW belt multiple times).
- UFC should do the wrong thing again because....consistency
