Out of curiosity, how do you observe Remembrance Day?Correct, your provincial govt decided to opt out of recognizing our vets and giving you a paid day off to do so.
Are you sure I haven't?Maybe you should lobby Ford to man up.

Yup.Out of curiosity, how do you observe Remembrance Day?
If you have, good on you. If you haven't, I am not sure whats sadder... Not having already petitioned Ford or insinuating you already had.Are you sure I haven't?
That's not really an answer to the question of "how".Yup.
When we're not working my wife and I will usually go to the War Memorial.Out of curiosity, do you?
No.Since you're working, do you not get to honor your vets at their local service?
Yes.Have a moment of silence?
Not applicable.Spend time thinking about your grandfather who served his country during the war?
You get the shaft. How does that work if you dont get the day off?
The 'how' followed the 'confirmation'.That's not really an answer to the question of "how".

No, that was a bunch of questions. The 'how' followed the 'confirmation'.
So basically when it falls on a Saturday or Sunday. So your observance of Remembrance Day is dependent upon both you and your wife having the day off work?
It's almost like the feds should have told the provinces/territories to shut the fuck up when they opted out. What a shame.
Lol only you could turn the good news of a new stat holiday into a bicker-fest.No, that was a bunch of questions.

I was ponting that it would be better if we observed actual important days before we start enacting made up ones in hopes of a re-election.Lol only you could turn the good news of a new stat holiday into a bicker-fest.
Remembrance Day is a Federal stat holiday.
And hell yes to another stat holiday in September.
Not sure how it works in backwards ass Ontario but that will bring my yearly stat holidays up to 12. An average of 1 per month, fuck ya.
Potentially good for Scheer and Singh. No one's going to be voting for Bernier though.I guess this scandal will be great news for Scheer and Bernier.
Good for Scheer.Potentially good for Scheer and Singh. No one's going to be voting for Bernier though.
I've hilariously watched it since the day he was named leader. NDP'ers are looking for every excuse they can to not have to throw their support behind the turban wearing, brown guy come election day.I dont see Singh even meeting traditional NDP numbers.
Its got nothing to do with a turban. I grew up in a northern mill town, I am very comfortable with turban wearing brown guys as are most of northern industrial communities through our immigration policies and temporary foreign worker programs. I think the lack of leadership abilities, experience and policy specifics is what turns off many NDP supporters.I've hilariously watched it since the day he was named leader. But those weren't concerns when he was named party leader. Weird, right?I think the lack of leadership abilities, experience and policy specifics is what turns off many NDP supporters.
Go fuck yourself with that I have black friends bullshit. But those weren't concerns when he was named party leader. Weird, right?
I did enjoy your "I'm not racist, I have a lot of black friends" explanation though, lol.
I am.Potentially good for Scheer and Singh. No one's going to be voting for Bernier though.
That's odd. I don't remember you expressing that sentiment at the time.I didnt think Singh was the best choice from the get go.
Feel free to prove me wrong. That's odd. I don't remember you expressing that sentiment at the time.
I don't remember you have a stated opinion of him one way or the other. If memory serves it was something vague along the lines of "I guess we'll see how it goes."Feel free to prove me wrong.
Any example of me stating Singh would be the best choice for NDP leader would suffice.
I support the guy as their choice but I dont think he was the best choice.
That really surprises me. Good for you.
I agree. I really wanted him to win the CPC leadership race. I think he'll struggle in his own party in a lot of ridings.Bernier has the best ideas.
Exactly, so your whole soap box rant about having black friends seems a little silly now doesn't it.I don't remember you have a stated opinion of him one way or the other. If memory serves it was something vague along the lines of "I guess we'll see how it goes."
