It's official Ryan IS OUT.

“Thanks for all the messages about my knee guys. Just got my MRI results back…I badly strained my biceps femoris tendon and completely tore my LCL. Unfortunately I won’t be able to compete in @combatjiujitsufn this time around. Sorry Everyone, sorry @victordavilaufc, @eddiebravo10p, sorry to fans and the competitors. Gonna see what the best plan of attack is now for a speedy recovery. I’ll be back asap my royal guards. Dont worry”

Nah, the takedown attempt that led to both him and Rocha falling off the stage mat area did the damage.... I've always hated that set up, but completely understand it for viewing

The cool part about this is that both Rocha and Werdum sent condolences and well wishes for a speedy recovery

That LCL tear likely saved Gordon from getting his career derailed early. It's smart for him to take a combat JJ match to prep for MMA, but not against someone who knows how to put serious heat on his palm strikes like Werdum. Ryan should try for an MMA grappler who's a little less elite with his hands. Gonzaga or maybe Palhares (even though Garry already beat him).
