Yeh Im a tough motherfucker!! Hahahaha I know for some of you gym junkies thats pretty poor, but that's a good milestone for me. I struggled with 20kg like 6 weeks ago now I do 15 reps of 25kg and im pretty good.

Gf and I have been seeing a PT twice a week for about 3 months (with us taking a few weeks off for holidays etc). Loving it, its actually something we look forward to every week hehehe

Good for you BrunoMcGyver @BrunoMcGyver

I too am going through a physical transformation.

I am slowly getting fat. But I am embracing it and enjoying it. Nobody likes a quitter.

Don't feel bad. Until 2 weeks ago, I'd never bench-pressed in my life as I found it unnecessary since I have knockout power.
But for shits & giggles and for the sake of getting back in shape I re-upped gym membership & bench pressed.... and I am pathetic, but still better than you. :)

Just started benching beginning of this month.

Pushing 175lbs for 4 reps.

Trying to do 200 by the end of next month.

And 250-300 by end of the year.

I don't really go to personal training regularly now. But I did do 35kg (77lbs) a few times. Reckon I could do 50kg once or twice if I wanted to, but meh

Nice. As a fellow bench beginner, I think I'll aim for same :)

I'm stuck.... at 150lbs, because I'm having a problem: my wrists are killing me.

Tips?
I've been progressing and feel could push about 170 right now, but the bar is too thin & my grip sucks & it hurts at 150.
Would these help?:

Try above.
If not I recommend doing grip strength training before and during lifts.

There are a few you can try.

Grab a dumbell with palm up.

Sit down and lay forearm on knee.

You can raise your foot to where it feels appropriate.

Then roll the weight forward on your finger tips.

Then roll back gripping strong.

Another exercise would be.
Stand up straight with a light dumbell or standard wieght with middle fingers holding in hole. 10 to 15 pounds. And rotate wrist..

Same exercise can apply to the one above on the knee.

Both exercise grip strength as much as forearms.

The wrist will Never gain strength but will accumulate dexterity thru training of grip and forearm.

Hope this helps..

Im no strength coach but just passing along whats worked for me.

Still at 225.

I don't have a spotter.

I feel I could hit 240 for 2

Possibly 250 for 1 with a spotter.

I weigh 175lbs.

I don't look that big so my lifts garner some attention.

It makes me want to shoot for more.

If I dedicate I hope I can make it to 275-300 by December January
