All good homie. Isn’t Matt really messed up from his accident? Last vid I saw, he seemed to be have some issues w/ brain and cognitive function. He didn’t seem like someone who would (or could) do something like this. My wife works with special needs adults and kids, and knowing they’re going to act out from time to time is just part of the deal. I wonder if Matt is experiencing that lack of control after the accident.

not surprising.. he pretty much self admittedly raped her when she ws under age and bragged about jumping his father along with his twin brother Mark when they were younger in his book he put out...He was a Jerk first time a 17 year old version of myself met him..I ws a huge fan not only because we have the same last name but I too wrestled similar to his style and ws known for big slams in my circle.. this is how it went at a local mma show my future manager (Matt's manager monte cox and chas bowling) was running..Matt and Horn were special guests and putting on a seminar the following day...we will get bk to that in a moment...I say "Hi matt I'm johnny and I wrestle too and have the same last name" he replys stone faced "good for you" and walked off not even allowing my marker and IU wrestling shirt I was asking about signing...to make it worse he strangled me the next day at the seminar and what would've been a cool experience to tell ppl about was no longer cool being he big timed me the day before..I would never do that to a kid and imho it speaks to what many say about him being a arrogant bully.. He was loose in the head way before that wreck so it isn't just that.. and everything I'm telling you is a fact.

Matt has a long history of bad behavior. But this seems ramped up and is probably a combination of depression and TBI symptoms after his wreck. His wife has filed for divorce and she didn't do that for the many previous years and accusations.

Great fighter but he was always a borderline personality and the brain damage will not be helping that. Sad.
Matt's UFC persona for a decade was that of an upstanding, conservative, hard-working clean-lifestlye guy who handed out bibles.
I never liked him personally, he seemed arrogant and I hated his "style".
Years later there's all the dark stories about him, a completely different person.
It seems the UFC has worked overtime on Matt's public image.

My... how 12 years changes things.. things we got banned for talking about are now being brought to light again.. Hughes is not a good dude and that head injury just made him worse.
Really sad. The brain injury has affected him a lot.

The book is nuts and the subject of a hilarious and mostly accurate review on the old site. In addition to the stuff already mentioned, IIRC, he admits injuring his wife right after she got breast implants and fathering a kid in the Quad Cities who he proceeded to ignore. Then he talks about how Jesus saved him . . . but expressed zero remorse for the shitty things he did in the past.
