Been waiting for it to warm up here so I can get after some projects that I want to do at the new house. Moved in last May, and focused all of our time and money throughout summer, fall, and winter rehabbing the inside. Now we can focus on the outside.

Going to build a deck across the back of the house and add landscaping & walk way around the screened in patio. Add a screen door to walk out of the patio into the deck.

Something like this.

Built this fire pit in the fall.

Been clearing the woods behind the house (you can see above how overgrown it was & below how I’ve cleared a ton of it out to where you can walk around back there). Going to build another smaller fire pit back in there, add a picnic table and a couple hammocks.

Also going to add black lava rock in all of the front landscaping. It’s currently black mulch and pretty old and thin. The dog gets in it and drags the shit in the house on her feet. Did the first load last week when we had a day in the 50’s. Have 6 more loads to go. Bushes are pretty overgrown as well, so I’ll be trimming those way back & probably removing some to make space for some new stuff w/ color.

Going to start on the basement tomorrow. Already built my daughter a bedroom down there. Now my wife wants to build a bar area. Going to repaint all of the walls and baseboards well. Will take me a couple of weeks to get this one done.

What it looked like when we moved in. That wall with all of the pictures is where I’m going to install lower cabinets, countertops, and the entire wall will be barnwood with some shelves.

What it looks like now after building the bedroom (behind door w/ wreath).

I’ll try to post some updated pics as i finish this stuff.

What projects do you all have planned? Hauler @Hauler - I know you have something in the works.

I remember drinking Zima with my buddies older sister when I was 12 and she was 18. She let me finger her, to this day I haven't told him but whenever he would talk shit I would smile thinking about her.

We used to get chics plastered on it in high school. I won't even lie...it was a refreshing drink. Gay? Maybe, but I give no fucks.

That or bicardi Limon were legit slut drinks.
Funny story. Some buddies of mine that I play golf with pretty regularly are always giving me shit for not bringing beer to the course, and then drinking theirs. Few years back they text me with an invite and say "don't forget to bring your own beer, fucker". Well, it was a Sunday and they didn't sell beer here on Sundays at the time. So I got out to the garage fridge to see what's in there and there was like 7 Bicardi's left over from a party or something. I throw them in a soft cooler & head to the course. I break one out on hole #3 and my buddies were like "Wtf...look at this fag. Lol, ter hur". I took a swig of that shit and about puked. Waaaaay too fucking sweet. I try to play it off and go ahead and drink the thing. A couple of holes later, I go digging in one of their coolers for a beer and they're like "whoa, whoa...nope, gtfo out of there, you brought that fruity shit, so drink it". Wouldn't give me a beer for shit. So I drink a couple more, and bitched long enough that they finally caved & gave me some beer on the back 9.

TL; DR - that shit is nasty.

I would definitely golf you and your buddies.

When we first started to actually go out and golf as a group we went to a course in the hood where we grew up. We stopped and bought a case of 40's which is 12. 4th or 5th hole I'm pretty buzzed and shank one off the tee, my buddy puts a ball on the tee for me. Fucking got me with the exploding golf ball. Fucking chalk everywhere lol

My pantry has those stupid wire grate or whatever shelves. You know the kind where a bottle always topples over and knocks down a dozen other things. I want to replace those with wooden shelves. Maybe use reclaimed wood or something snazzy

We've done that shit before too. Never gets old. Also like undoing the bag straps on someone's cart, prior to the round, so when they drive off, their bag falls off in front of everyone on the 1st tee.

Same thing here. I hate those shelves in our pantry. I'll replace them eventually but it's down the priority list. Also need to paint the pantry and our MBR closet. Didn't do either when I painted the house over the summer.

I hooked up 18 at a nice course down in Florida when I lived there and we all end up getting wasted at the club bar before because our tee time wasn't until later. I was hanging out of the cart and my friend pushes me and luckily I was drunk so my body went limp asap.

We used to go golfing during hurricanes down in Florida. Lots of fuckery. Everything from jumping into the ponds to aiming at the clubhouse.

I would like to get my garage clean. It looks like an episode of hoarders at the moment.
Lmao, I know the feeling. Ours was a fucking trainwreck for months after we moved in. Basically a 20 x 30 storage unit. Finally got 90% of the junk moved out and installed some shelves. Hope to get those patio chairs out of there once the deck is built. Then finally, maybe, my wife will be able to park in there & STFU.

What all do you have in your garage? Easy to accumulate a ton of shit over the years, isn’t it.

That fire pit is legit wild. Great job.
Thanks man. It was pretty easy and cheap too. Took me 3 days (1 day to dig out the trench for the perimeter bricks and put down the black weed paper, 1 day to lay the perimeter bricks and fire pit stones, and 1 day to pea gravel it). Only cost $280, and that included the chairs. Think it turned out pretty good. Love sitting out there in the evenings with a beer.

Very nice! That's a third of what I was guessing.

I went and got a scoop (front end loader bucket) of pea gravel at the local Earth First, where they sell stone, mulch, etc. Think it was like $28, whereas it would have been like $150 if I bought bags from Lowes. That was the real savings.
