See the full list of 81 Trump associates asked for documents by House Judiciary Democrats
The House Judiciary Committee on Monday announced a sweeping new investigation into "alleged obstruction of justice, public corruption, and other abuses of power by President Trump, his associates, and members of his Administration."

The Democratically-controlled committee said in a statement that it had requested documents from 81 individuals and business entities connected to the president. Among the names were Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Jared Kushner, Steve Bannon and Michael Flynn.

"We have sent these document requests in order to begin building the public record," said Rep. Jerry Nadler, D. N.Y., the House Judiciary Committee Chairman said Monday.

Former Trump White House lawyer Ty Cobb calls Mueller 'American hero'
Ty Cobb, the White House attorney who served as President Donald Trump's lead counsel during the early stages of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe, called the former FBI director and federal prosecutor an "American hero" in an interview published Tuesday.

Speaking on ABC News' "The Investigation" podcast, Cobb also disagreed with the president's assessment that the Russian investigation is a “witch hunt.”

"I think Bob Mueller's an American hero,” Cobb, who joined the White House in the summer of 2017 and left in May 2018, said. "I think Bob Mueller's a guy that, you know even though he came from an, arguably, privileged background, you know, has a backbone of steel."

"I think the world of Bob Mueller. He is a very deliberate guy. And but he's also a class act. And a very justice-oriented person," Cobb added.

Spicer says he'll cooperate with House investigation
Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Tuesday that he intends to cooperate with House Democrats' investigation into President Trump's administration, campaign and business, despite concerns it could be a "fishing expedition."

"I will do everything to facilitate this investigation and there’s nothing that I have to hide. So I want a swift conclusion to this whole thing as soon as possible," Spicer said on Fox News.

"Nearly two out of three American voters (65%) say President Trump is dishonest. Nearly two out of three American voters (64%) also say he has committed crimes – less than one in four (24%) say he has not. The country is divided (45% to 43%) on whether Trump committed crimes in office, despite recent events including Michael Cohen‘s testimony which appear to prove he did."
