It depends on what your goals are.

Before I lost a lot of weight I thought exercise was the only way but after researching how to properly lose weight my mind was changed.

Yes exercise helps to lose weight but if you don’t adjust your diet appropriately you will not see results.

I also think it’s laughable at certain people that say they are dedicated to losing weight but still eat lots of carbs and have cheat days. Stick to a plan and do it otherwise you’re lying to yourself. Commitment when changing your life is #1.

As many of you know I used to be over three hundred pounds. From September 2013 to August 2014 I lost over 120 pounds. I then shed an additional 30 over the next 6ish months.

It was 100% diet and just working. I never went to the gym, I didn’t play sports. My job was strenuous so that did play a small factor I’m sure.

I only ate raw vegetables and lean meat. No cheat days, no carbs besides the tiny amounts in certain vegetables. I didn’t eat legumes or potatoes due to the carbs. Nothing starchy.

Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Yes. I was near death so that was my motivation and I wanted to get laid.

As stated there is a lot to this. Not sure why but people use to see me and their first thought was that I was boxer. I am/was bulky. Not as big as Conan from ATT but same build. I decided to go for the not so bulky fit look. I just did cardio no gym strict diet. My arms got so small I hated it. Started lifting again added in protein creatine etc etc. 2 people asked if I use to play football. Oh well.

My take based on experience is dieting alone will slim you down but you may not like the results.
