Conor McGregor was arrested in March and charged with one count of strong-arm robbery and one count of criminal mischief, for allegedly slapping away and stomping on a fan’s phone in Miami.

According to a report from USA Today, prosecutors have since reduced the charges, lowering the degree of one felony charge, and converting the other to a misdemeanor.

The felony criminal mischief charge is now just a misdemeanor since the listed value of the phone went from $1000 to “between $200 and $1000.” As for his strong-armed robbery, it has changed from a second-degree felony to “robbery by sudden snatching,” which is a third-degree felony.

If proven guilty, McGregor could face a potential maximum prison sentence of six years,…

Conor's lucky Darren Wilson didn't make the arrest. Being a suspect in a strong arm robbery will get you pushing up four leaf clovers.

Meanwhile, in Ireland, they're considering charging him with "Rape by sudden penetrating"
The best man at my wedding is a school teacher. Secondary school so 11-18 years old. He once made a statement in response to a student being flippant, "that's not rape, I'll show you rape".

Out of context, an interesting statement, in context, which I wont give you, hilarious

"Ladies and gentleman of the jury. This wasn't "rape" it was "surprise sex by sudden penetration". Seeing as everyone here knows how great surprises are it seems that the "victim" owes Mr MacGregor an apology."

I believe there is a charge of surprise sex. Isn’t the government going after someone for it? Wish my brain didn’t suck. Seems like the dude had a girl over for some gold old fashioned consensual relations. She fells asleep and he went in again while she was asleep. Hitting him with some type is surprise sex charge, but not rape.

In Texas, this same charge is called Theft from Person. It’s the lowest grade of felony, but still a felony. Remember a couple of years ago when that guy snatched that MAGA hat off that kid’s head in San Antonio? Theft from Person.

No idea why I posted this.

theft by unsanctioned hand reaching.

American justice absolutely cracks me up. when lawyers and judges in the US speak on tv they look so serious! they must be getting paid a tonne of money to lend any legitimacy to it. complete free-for-all of disjointed babble, every part of which can be leveraged by money or fame.
