About an hour in and I like Herbs mentality to reffing - willing to listen to others criticism and hear ideas in order to get better, he has the right mind set.

I think Lawler vs Askren was just a tough spot anyone could have messed up on, Herb use to be one of the great refs who was consistent ..I think when the UFC needed a certain fighter to win in order to try and build stars they started handing Herb money under the table - locker room bonus if you will if Herb would help dictate the fight with stand ups or shitty calls ..when that happened it was noticeable and his cred dropped.

Over all good podcast so far...anyone notice when the 2 were talking juicing Joe mentioned Jon Jones and how the UFC needs Jon now because he is their only star...(that was a slip up or a “hint” by Joe, I think Joe played a big role in getting Jon back in the octagon by planting that bullshit theory of cretine cut with coke mixed in a bad batch of bullshit story. Joe also knows UFC paid big money under the table to USADA in order to let Juicy get back in the octagon.)

According to schwab, herb holds the record for the biggest penii in the world

No wonder he’s so relaxed, he’ll just walk away from a reffing mistake by flashing his dick later at the vip party of his choice and burying his third leg in some mesmerised chick

In all seriousness, did herbal mention that rehydration pill he was getting patented and where he is with that?

EPO- apparently it can cause strokes

joe: that shit turns your blood into paint
While discussing EPO

Joe: “I want to try it”

——————————

Lmao!! What a surprise, to be honest I’m shocked he’s not on it already with all the running in the hills he’s been doing the last year.

Add EPO to the list of shit Joe has tried in the pursuit to live forever.

I’d want to live forever to if I sold my soul to the devil and know what’s coming in the spirit world once we pass.

pretty sure it is not one of their regular tests
probably need an experts opinion but I read it on a few forums today
Dim @Dim ?

it is the facade of testing that they want IMO...not the real deal sport cleaning testing
the more the fighters realize this the more the cheating will ramp back up
I predict some un retirements soon

they do test for epo.

but they dont test every sample for epo, that would be pointless

Whoever said they dont test for epo is an idiot.

however...

Epo has a very short detection window, so you wouldnt bother testing any samples collected after about 10am and before 10pm for Epo because it would be a waste of time

You also wouldnt test a sample for epo when the athletes biological passport over an extended period of time shows absolutely no indication whatsoever that they are taking epo.

The epo test takes up to three days to run and then if you get a positive another three days to do a confirmatory test, its simply impossible to have labs that are handling 20,000 samples a year to submit every single one to the epo test.; just not possible.

But the 6am samples, the 11pm samples, and the samples where the athletes bio-passport suggests ill-doing.. they are 100% analysed for epo

from 2017 wada reports we know about 8-10% of urine samples are put through epo analysis (175 ish out of 2000 samples). That will be the 6am ones the 11pm ones and the suspicious passport ones.

seems like even if you didn't use EPO regularly it may be worth it to be on EPO on fight night
Definitely one of MMA's most abused IMO

the 1 on 10 chance of being tested is low enough that fighters will probably risk it if they like the benefits...who doesn't want a cardio boost on fight night?

Epo is something you need to take over a period of time for results. It's a shot every other day for a month or two. Once stopped the body still has the high red blood cell count, plus the body is still producing it's own red blood cells at a normal rate, so the benefits last quite a while (unlike high altitude training).

In a nutshell what I'm saying is a single shot would only give the fighter a confidence boost that they are on something.
