It was recently reported that B.J. Penn has an active restraining order against him, with his estranged partner alleging that there were threats, verbal and physical abuse, and sexual coercion during the course of their relationship.

The former UFC champion’s team has since issued a statement via his official website, calling the allegations “misleading, hurtful and false.”

@blank - can I get a ruling on the commas here?
That first one is a bit suspect but I'm guessing the author was writing like he'd say it, that is he was emphasizing an interjected pause. I'm more of a word choice guy though and my punctuation has always been haphazard at best.

It's common, and dumb for folks to decide innocent or guilt when an allegation is made.Yet, most live for this today. By the time actual innocent or guilt is decided, no one even cares. That's great for our society. See also Ferguson Mo.

You're right. Darren Wilson's premature decision cost a life. Common move in the area that continues to this day.
