God damn myself. I wasn’t going to get my hopes up with Kawhi. All season long I had accepted he was one and done, but winning the title changed everything. Now I need him to stay and like our chances but all this Laker buzz has me scared.
Re-read the OP. Literally every prediction has been wrong, with Kawhi the only one we don't know yet.

The chances of Kawhi staying are very, very low.

I’m feeling good today. He’ll stay. SN bet?
most likely he stays or go to Clippers. Not the Lakers though.

He just won the NBA Finals / MVP and he was the main effort. He don't need Lebron or AD. He stays where he's loved or if he decides to move to Cali where he's from, he'd go and contribute to building a team where he can be the main effort again.

Those were my thoughts exactly but all this Laker buzz rattled me. If he doesn’t stay I hope he goes Clippers.

I think Kawhi and his management saw what happened to Durant, his image, and his legacy when he chased a title with GS. Kawhi could either stay in Toronto and be the most beloved sports figure in an entire country, or he could be absolutely hated be the entire league outside of Lakers fans. All to win a title no one will respect.

Wow that old "Kawhi and PG to the Clippers" scenario played out... I thought those talks died out a while ago... Clippers are better than the Lakers, and until Klay gets back, better than the Warriors. That said, the West may be open here, you can't sleep on teams like Portland, Denver, and Utah.. guarantee one (maybe more) upsets LAC, LAL, or GSW in the playoffs

We're back in the dynamic duo era of the NBA. Lebron and AD, Kyrie and KD, CP3 and Harden, Kawhi and George, Giannis and Middleton, Simmons and Embiid, and I guess Steph and Klay.

Balance has been restored to the force. Playoffs is a pick em next year.

Sorry for your loss.
Thanks it was expected from the start but winning the title raised my hopes that he would come back to try to repeat. I'm happy for him. It really is the best case scenario. He gets to play at home and I hope he pisses all over the Lakers title hopes. It's great for the league and this Los Angeles rivalry is going to be fun to watch.

I'm happy for Steve Ballmer and the Clippers. The team was owned by a racist piece of shit before Ballmer came in and bought them.

Apparently he had wanted to own an NBA team for years. Now he does and he has a serious contender next year.

Tough break for Toronto but Kawhi very nearly went back there, despite the fact that it's so far from home. Hopefully they can trade for another big name

Aaaah that crazy ole racist Donald Sterling... I love that he was caught numerous times being blatantly racist AF, yet still had that ghetto ass black chick (looking like she fell out of Dade City) as his girlfriend who got court side seats :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:
