I don't know how primitive or American it all is:
All good my man, it doesn’t have to be either - any cool guitarists are welcome in here ;)
At a glance it looks like you’ve posted some great stuff. Thanks for taking the time to add those here.

There are some i recognize, but also several new things for me in there.

I’ll work my way through these today!

megatherium @Megaterio Llamas

Thanks again for posting all of these guitar videos. It has taken me a bit to get through them, but man did you post some good stuff in here.

To touch on a few:

you included Lenny Breau. LB is one of my all-time favorites, he was absolutely amazing. You may be able to find it up your way as it originally aired on CBC - but there is a documentary out there called "The Genius of Lenny Breau". Well worth a watch if you can find it. I've had mixed luck with it on youtube, videos are sometimes up but incomplete, and other times unavailable.

The Luiz Bonfa and Baden Powell stuff is newer to my arsenal, thanks to some stuff you posted a while back. Great stuff!

I've been listening to Fahey for 20 some years, and that lead me to discover all kinds of other stuff and ultimately helped serve as the inspiration for this thread.

Ry Cooder is the man!

Tommy Emmanuel is also a damned guitar stud. I've seen him live twice...incredible. Same with Leo Kottke (only seen him once though).

And of course....Bob Wills!!

I won't run through them all, but i thoroughly enjoyed each one of those videos you posted (even if it took me a few days to get through them ;))

Can I get you on a retainer to build playlists for me? :D

I first saw it air up here on CBC television over the air as you say. Lenny of course was a big influence on Canadian rocker Randy Bachman among many others: Glad you liked the other vids too my friend.:)

That's right! IIRC, Randy was a student of Lenny way back when. In fact, I think many of the available Lenny albums came out after his death, and that was all of the work of Randy. One way or another he is in charge of all of Lenny's recordings and he has released multiple albums on his own dime just to make sure LB's music was getting out there and not forgotten. Pretty cool stuff to do that, and I'm sure he had something to do with the documentary.

I had forgot until right now, but I'm pretty sure I made a Lenny Breau thread on here a couple of years ago. I may need to drop some more music in there :)

So far, there are two past episodes available and they are working!

Looks like I may not be able to listen live, but the encore replays seem to be available.

Did we piss Canada off or something? :D
lol it's just the territorial reality of the commercial internet. I can't watch US based stuff all the time either. Maybe half of it. You'll just have to find episodes that you like, they very a lot. I think it runs Fridays nights live but I'll have to check that.
